Asalamu Alaykum ya shaykh i want to ask how should the living situation be with the kafr father of the husband when the husband needs to go to work should he ask his father to leave the house or tell his wife to stay in room?
All praise is due to Allah the Lord of Al-Alameen,, I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone without any partner and I bear witness that Muhammed is his slave and Messenger. To proceed:
The matter of the wife of the son, it is in the religion of Isam considered forbidden for the father as ALlah said in his honorable book: Prohibited to you [for marriage] are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your father’s sisters, your mother’s sisters, your brother’s daughters, your sister’s daughters, your [milk] mothers who nursed you, your sisters through nursing, your wives’ mothers, and your step-daughters under your guardianship [born] of your wives unto whom you have gone in. But if you have not gone in unto them, there is no sin upon you. And [also prohibited are] the wives of your sons who are from your [own] loins, and that you take [in marriage] two sisters simultaneously, except for what has already occurred. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful. (Anisah 23)
So if the husband steps out of his house while his wife is in the house along with his father. If he would fear for his wife from his father, then he can ask his father to step out of the house. But if he would not fear for his wife from his father, from the point that he might be advanced in age or any of the likes then it is not necessary to ask his father to get out of the house because ALlah Azaa wajal said in his honorable book:
“…but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness…” lukman 15
Islam commands to do good towards the parents even if they were upon Shirk and should not obey them upon shirk and should treat them well to the best of his/her ability.
Al-Bukaree-May ALlah have mercy upon his has stated as chapter in his Authentic collection of Hadith ” chapter: Visiting the mushrik father” Then he mentioned the hadith of Asmaa, the daughter of abu Bakr may Allah be please with her that she said: my mother came to me while she was upon shirk, i asked the Prophet sale Allahu Alaihee wasalam if i can visit her, He said visit your mother.
Islam is the religions of beauties, and the religion of great manners and commands to do good and forbids the evil.
